ROVER Special Vehicle Division existed around 1990 to commission and develop new niche products form the existing Rover product range.This was to cover all manner of proposals, from a Maestro Van based SUV, to compliment the Discovery, to a Montego ‘Lifestyle’ Estate Concept in 1990, and an Estate version of the Rover 800 in 1992.
